Ok, so here it is.
Good news, I'M DONE WITH FINALS!!! If I'm honest, it doesn't seem like my finals were all that bad, Although I did have to write a few papers last week. This week, however, I only had one final that I really had to study for. Which brings me to my next topic.
I'm really kind of ridiculously frudtrated with alot of the people at this school. They study--A LOT. And by A LOT, I mean A LOT. I don't get it. Like okay, I totally understand studying, I do it too, believe it or not, and I understand wanting to get good grades and all that. But when it comes to studying, how can you spend HOUR upon HOUR studying ONE SUBJECT? These guys are insane. They spend HOURS locked up a room or in the library studying...not even just doing like homework or whatever, but studying. I mean, is there really THAT MUCH to study? I know college courses have alot more content than high school courses, but still, its like wow. It kinda seems like alot of people in this school were the ones who in high school worked really really hard, and that's why they did so well. Like, okay, in high school it's not like i didnt EVER do work or whatever but I didnt spend my entire LIFE working, but i guess because i test well or whatever I was able to do alright for myself without constantly working. THIS kind of makes it difficult for me to be around so many people who like HAVE TO STUDY ALLLL THE TIME. Ok, given I don't have any math or science courses...but when I DID have math and science, there was really only so much I could do as far as studying went. For me, in order for me to get something, it had to click as i went or none of it made sense at all...so I learned it all piece by piece. I don't get how people are like studying their lives away now that it's already the end of the quarter. Shouldn't this all just be a review of stuff you've already learned and built upon throughout the entire quarter? I mean, if you have it, you have it, right? And if you spend 10 hours studying a concept and you still don't get it, will another 10 hours really make a difference?
Anyway. Maybe it's because I didn't really have finals in high school. But whatever. UCSD feels like kind of an in-between school. I feel alike a whooole lot of people here worked sooo hard in high school, and it kind of makes me feel out of place. There are also some people who I'm like, how the hell did you get in here? Then there are, of course, people who probably could have gotten in anywhere is they'd really applied themselves, but for one reason or another chose not to.
Whatever. I feel really good about being here...the theater program is awesome, at least the graduate program. I hear it's SO hard to get into..which makes me feel good that our TA'z are that good. OMG! Today my acting TA had a little talk with me, about why he's so hard on me in partcular, and it was so like, wow....I can really do this. It also meant alot coming from him, he's so awesome it's not even funny. But yeah. College is definitely what you make of it, and I feel really lucky that this school in particular has a lot of opportunity and outlets for potential awesomeness, you feel. So much opportunity to grow. Lots to learn.
My roomates are bastards, bastards whom I love whole-heartedly.
Anyway. Long blog. Yay. Almost break. Not sure yet whether I'm happy about being home for a month. I think it's gonna be a bit lonely. Definitely quiet. Boo. So not used to that anymore. But whatever. Yay for home cooking.

y0 kids!
my, it hath been ages. i'm like never on this thing anymore. I'm still a facebook whore through and through, dont worry, I'm not in any way depriving myself of the internet =).
things here are good. i'm excited about thanksgiving, i'm really starting to miss my family, two months into college lol. I've made some awesome friends, some the kind you know you'll stay friends with forever. There's just something about living with people, ya know? I can't imagine if I lived off campus. I'd have like no friends. lol. I mean cuz you meet people in your classes, but my good friends live here with me. Love these kids. They're not perfect, of course, but yeah. If I'm honest, the fact that pretty much everyone drinks kida gets me down, cuz I'm not into that, and when everyone else does it its like booooo somebody have fun with me being sober. It's not all the time tho, so yeah. Welcome to college right??? Lol.
Anyway yeah. Been hanging out with the home friends alot lately too. We are awesometastically cool, I must say.
Hopefully I'll be taking two dance classes nest quarter!!! Speaking of which, I should go check if theyre full already. Boo. I dont get to schedule til the 17th, but I can look at what classes are still available.
All in all, things are good. My sleep schedule has been terrible, however. I nap alot, at like random times, like 6:30 at night or something...lol...but that's cuz somtimes i'm up til 4 the morning. once I was up til 6, another time til 7, and yes I mean A.M., and that sucked. I got a nice nap in today from like 12-3, which was a good time becuase today was HOT dude. So yeah.
Classes aren't all that bad, alot of writing, dude, its kicking my ass. I'm really trying to stay on top of my work, which is so the opposite of high school...lol...but yeah. I'm honestly makng an effort, I swear...because what I pulled in high school to get by just won't fly here...lol. But yeah. I'm not doing bad. =) Let's hope it stays that way.

HEY ALL!!! It's kind of been a while huh. Anyway, so updates.
-SEPT. 15th, it's goin DOWN, and so am I! To san diego, that is. yessireebob, UCSD here I come...man, I'm so ready. I can't believe it's TWO AND A HALF WEEKS AWAY!!!!! I'm dying.
-Last night was my last night at work. =(. I've worked there for almost exactly two years, which in busboy language is a REALLY long time. By the time I left, every single other busser who worked there when I started had left, and I was the longest-working busser. That was an odd feeling, since you sort of always feel like the new guy until you realize that everyone ESLE is newer than you, lol. It was pretty sad saying goodbye to alot of the bussers who I'd worked with the longest, and especially to the servers, many of whom have been there for years and had become surrogate parents lol. I'm gonna miss it for sure, (especially the money, gosh...) but life must go on. They told me I can come back and work a bit during the holidays and vacation and such, which is cool. aiyah. BEIN UNEMPLOYED SUCKS.
-I joined the gym for a month, whihc is good, but i haven't been so great about going. I've been like 5 or 6 times in the past 2 or 3 weeks, which is not so good lo. Hopefully tonight i'm gonna take a hip hop class there =D, which is great because i SOOO need to dance.

finally watched high school musical. not bad for a disney movie. really cheesy, and with a few TERRIBLE actors, but it was alot of fun. lots of catchy music. hey, i think i'll go download the soundtrack. good times.
in other news. i spend most days at home, sleeping in til about 12:30. then i work on friday, saturday, sunday, and monday nights. this week i even work wednesday while my coworker is away. the moral of the story? omg, somebody please call me, i'm goin nuts. let's go. somewhere. lol.
